TWO GUITARS DELIVERED TO HONDURAS!
We are excited to announce that two guitars are now in the hands of deserving pastors in Honduras, thanks to Cara Sutcliffe and Kevin Riggs.
After Cara Sutcliffe donated two guitars to Instruments of Joy, Kevin Riggs of Empty Hands Fellowship picked them up and went on a trip to Honduras.
IGLESIA PENIAL MATEO
The first guitar was presented on June 20th to Pastor Carlos Valeriano and the congregation of Iglesia Peniel Mateo, which is located in a poor, rural area near Tegucigalpa. Kevin wrote back to us, saying,
“When our team presented them with the guitar and accompanying DVD instructions, the place erupted. The response was overwhelming and something I was not ready for. They were extremely gracious. There was at least one young man in the church who knew how to play the guitar but did not own one.”
IGLESIA BRIGADES DE AMOR CHRISTIANO
The second guitar was delivered on June 21st to Pastor Martin Martinez and the congregation of Iglesia Brigades de Amor Christiano, also located outside Tegucigalpa. The church also has a school, which will benefit from this gift! Kevin wrote, “The people of Iglesia Brigades de Amor Cristiano love to sing and worship through music. They had some musical instruments but were in need of a new guitar. He, and his congregation, were surprised and humbled to receive the guitar and the accompanying DVD program. Immediately after receiving the guitar, Pastor Martinez and his church led our team in a couple songs. It was a wonderful experience.”
We are grateful to God for allowing us to impact these churches in Honduras through the joy of music!
