MEXICO INSTRUMENT DELIVERY!
Three instruments have been successfully delivered to three children at the Rio Bravo Children’s Home in Mexico! Musician Kent Blazy generously donated these instruments (1 acoustic guitar, 1 guitalele, and 1 electric guitar) and Bruce Coble, Missions Pastor at Springhouse Worship and Arts Center, facilitated the delivery.
Maria Gonzales (10) received the acoustic guitar; she will be going into 4th grade.
“She came to us 4 years ago with her older sister, and younger brother. This family is one of the few that have come from another state… Maria has been practicing on a borrowed guitar for the past year, and was very happy to have one of her own.”
-Spencer Hansen, Director of Colegio Puente de Esperanza
Jade Luna (10) received the Yamaha guitalele; she will also be going into the 4th grade.
“Jade has been with us since she was 4 years old. Very athletic and active, she sometimes struggles in school. She has been asking for a long time to play a real instrument, (she has been playing the plastic recorder for a year now, and has demonstrated a good basic knowledge of music). Jade received the guitalele and it fits her size and personality.”

Mauricio Maldonado (12) received the electric guitar.
“[He] has learned to play the electric bass quite well this year. We had talked about him maybe moving over the the guitar this next year. When Bruce showed up with that beautiful electric guitar, he decided to change now. Mauricio had a difficult start with us. He was a very sad boy, missed his mother intensely. Mauricio had to be held back a year and was put in the same class as his younger brother. This last year, playing the electric bass in our chapel services has really given him a boost. I pray that this gift will motivate him even more.”

We are thrilled and grateful that three children received these beautiful instruments! It is so encouraging to see the way that music brings joy to children and the people around them.
