Last month, for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States, one of our outreach partners headed overseas with Instruments of Joy guitars in hand. We are so excited to share that the team was able to deliver both electric and acoustic guitars to a church in Slavonski Brod, Croatia! Here is what our outreach partner shared with us about the delivery:

“The church in Slavonski Brod, Croatia has been so blessed by the gifts of the electric and acoustic guitars from Instruments of Joy. Sebastian, a recent college graduate has agreed to come to the church as an intern. One of Sebastian’s ministry goals is to start a small guitar camp for the young kids in Slavonski Brod and to offer private instruction to teens and young adults. The gifts of these guitars will help to make that possible. Already in the first days that the guitars were in Croatia, they were used at an outdoor festival called Ima Nade 2020, translation: “There Is Hope 2020.” The guitars were used both out on the street from the many different musical acts that were entertaining the locals and also in the church building for special church services that were broadcast and streamed throughout the week. All three of these guitars will also be used at various youth camps throughout the year. We are so grateful for the generous donation and thankful that we were able to hand deliver them, especially as challenging as it has been to travel this year.”
