Pastor Luis Sena lives in Itacoatiara, Brazil with his wife Francineide and their six children. Together, they have been serving kids living on the Solimõs river for over 30 years. Recently, Luis noticed a need for music in his community. Although Luis recognized the need, there aren’t any music stores on the banks of the Amazon River, and he had no opportunity or resources to purchase an instrument. This is where Instruments of Joy came in.
We were contacted by one of our partner organizations, Justice and Mercy International, who told us about Luis’s need in the Amazon. Here in the U.S, we found the perfect instrument to send and connected with a JMI representative who hand delivered it to Luis in Brazil.
Because of this partnership, Luis now owns a Fender Acoustic guitar, and is using it to bring joy to kids in the Amazon. We are so excited to see the incredible blessing he is bringing to his community through music!
