IOJ Story of Blessing
While the pandemic has slowed down our international travels, it hasn’t stopped us from giving to the nations. In June, we were able to donate guitars to one of our partners who works with refugees in Nashville. One of the recipients, Noah, shared how thankful he was in this video.
We have the incredible opportunity to minister to the nations, right here in our backyard. But we need your help! We are planning to purchase more guitars and the cost to equip a musician costs around $200. If you or someone you know would be interested in sponsoring one or more guitars, please reach out to us using our contact information below. You can also become a sponsor of Instruments of Joy at any time. Visit our website InstrumentsofJoy.org to learn more.
Artistry Fighting Poverty
This global season has been challenging for much of the world. But musicians are choosing to give back. One of those examples includes a new song by Steven Curtis Chapman, Brad Paisley, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and Lauren Alaina. The song is entitled, “Together (We’ll Get Through This),” and proceeds will go to the Gospel Music Association and the Opry Trust Fund to help those affected by COVID-19. Billboard recently published an article listing many of the ways that artists have stepped up to help.
The Billboard article goes on to list artists like Dolly Parton, John Mayer, James Taylor, and many other artists giving back in different ways. This season has highlighted the importance of musicians and the roles they play in their communities. Music has a way of bringing people together. That’s part of what makes our mission of spreading joy through the gift of an instrument so special.
Would you like to partner with Instruments of Joy as we share the joy that comes through music? We are always accepting instrument donations or financial gifts. And beyond these tangible means, please pray for Instruments of Joy as we allow hope to echo around the world from the gift of an instrument.
