“This is new?! And I’m the only one that gets to use it!?” -Hayden (Age 9)
The heart of Instruments of Joy is to impact the nations through the gift of instruments. Although our delivery partners are now able to bring instruments overseas again, we are continuing to impact our local community. Last month, nine-year-olds Keizlei and Hayden were each given a guitar to encourage their passion for music. Now, both students are excelling in one-on-one guitar lessons. Keizlei has learned the note names for each string and proudly plays the C chord. Hayden can name the parts of the guitar and excitedly plays three chords. Without the gift of these guitars, neither of these girls would have had the opportunity to explore music or enjoy the self-confidence that comes with learning an instrument.
