Story of Blessing
What does a hero look like? Someone with superpowers or super gadgets? At Instruments of Joy when we think of heroes, it’s not Superman or Batman that come to mind. What we see is Craig Standridge. Craig doesn’t have laser vision or super strength; he has something much more powerful: the power to use his gifts and talents to change the world.
This month, Instruments of Joy delivered two guitars to Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary in Kyiv, Ukraine. The students and faculty were so excited for the opportunities the guitars bring to the music department and entire school. They will be used to give many of the students music lessons and help prepare them for ministry and church service. This gift was made possible by Craig Standridge.
Like most of the guitars we send, Craig professionally set up and repaired them. He has donated hundreds of hours in preparing guitars for use in the developing world. We are so thankful for Craig and the impact he is making to bring joy all over the world! He is a genuine hero.
The power that Craig wields is fortunately something all of us can harness—the act of using your God given gifts to make a change in the lives of others. While not all of us know how to tune up a guitar or fix a broken bridge, each of us can be intentional about investing in the lives of others. Craig Standridge does it by using his gifts and talents to serve aspiring musicians all over the world, but the power to serve others is not limited to Craig. What’s your superpower?
